We write to ask for your favor by recommending us some promising young
men and women who is talented and interested in the Contemporary China
Studies to apply for the Master degree program and its scholarship. Our
program is the first try in China, aiming at cultivating a new
generation of China Study Experts for different countries and regions.
It¡¯s undertaken by School of International studies, but is a
multi-discipline education program supported by a group of excellent
professors from all the other Schools of Renmin, covering political
science, Economics, Business, and Culture Studies. Except from the
normal courses, every year we organize a dozen of guest lectures given
by preeminent outside scholars, experts and retired high rank officers.
To provide practical experiences and help the students to establish
social networks, we also arrange visits to a dozen of think tanks,
enterprises and governmental or non-governmental institutes in or
outside Beijing.
The program is taught and run in English language; therefore it¡¯s not
necessary for the candidates to have the Chinese language proficiency.
In September 2009, we provide at least 5 partial scholarships for
overseas students. A partial scholarship covers half of the tuition fee,
which means that he or she only needs to pay RMB 20.000 per academic
year. Some part-time job opportunities could also be introduced to those
who need additional finance support (Just give an example, an English
language tutoring job could be paid for about /hour in Beijing).
For the 2009 autumn program, the deadline of application is May 31,
2009.
